I painted this artwork with natural pigments from Roussillon which have been used since prehistoric times for the walls of the caves. In 1780, Jean Etienne Astier from the village of Roussilion discovered after processing ochre became an inalterable and non-toxic dye. Walking the Ochre trail was a magical experience where I visited this small village and bought the paint. Back in my atelier I created this artwork.

I have always been called a dreamer. My dreams and vulnerability have become my greatest assets. I followed my heart, created my own positive poetic dream world through my painting and collages. Being out of reality and sourcing energy helps me being in reality. Dream with me and discover your own flow, peaceful and calm.

An ode to sisterhood. Embrace the differences, the beauty of soulful sisterhood. Curious about each other’s choices, raising each other up, supporting & encouraging each other on the adventurous path that is life. Let yourself be surrounded by the spirit of the sisters. We shine bright together.

The ancient Greeks had two words for love: “eros” to describe sexual attraction and “philia” to capture the feeling of a person being an immensely close soulmate which is beautiful, because friends are important. Friendships can be as deep as being in love. It’s always been second nature to me to show my love and appreciation for those related or not, through words. Maybe we have to tell our friends, family and partners more often “I love you”.

I painted this painting on an early morning in Marrakesh at a little square, so her name is “Belle Matinée”.
Early morning in the city. Marrakesh is waking up, sun is softly rising, the leaves of the palm trees are softly stirring. Soaking up the sounds and smells. The vegetable vendors, the donkey cards, bicycles and trucks that pass by. Soft pink morning light, so softly gleams. Beautiful morning.
