I believe that an art piece can make us feel joyful or strong and powerful or it can take us daydreaming into another world. I think that looking at art can relieve stress, helps you relax or stimulate your own creativity or imagination. My artworks are supposed to be peaceful happy places. They should serve as a space for the mind to be still and calm the eyes to rest from a busy world.
This artwork is all about my love to be in nature, embracing the sweet moments of doing nothing.

I love to paint female faces with sparkling eyes. I always paint the eyes first, because I see so much in eyes. They are the window to our soul, telling us much about a person just by gazing into them.

Female faces are always a big inspiration to me. I enjoy especially drawing the eyes and this is what I start with. It is the most difficult part of the painting but also the most exciting to find out her expression, her character while drawing.

Life is so precious and every day, that we are living healthy, is a day to celebrate. So often we forget this and then a sudden illness within our families or circle of friends can change our lives in an instant.
This is why I created the artwork ROUGE and will donate 50% of each sale to DKMS Life, a non-profit organization giving persons with cancer hope and support during their therapy while aiming to positively influence the healing process through multiple campaigns.

The painting “Tendre” is inspired by the Japanese concept “wabi sabi” which is about the perception of beauty. Accepting the transient nature of life, authenticity serves as a focus point of wabi sabi cherishes the cracks and imperfections. They symbolize the passage of time and loving use. Love as the antidote to a throwaway society built on disposable goods and mass-produced homogenous items.

Intense, colorful, lovely and inspiring Morocco. Road tripping and enjoying the country, eating sardines in the harbor, meeting new people, good talks and wandering until staying in Marrakech. And even the drying laundry looks so beautiful that I had to capture the moment which resulted in “Koutoubia Marrakech”. Enjoy the intensity of the colors and feel the love!
