This painting is inspired by a woman I met during my travels to the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. Her eyes and facial expression were so captivating, so strong, so full of love. I sketched her a lot and finished this painting after coming back home to my atelier.

I love the early morning dew on the flowers and fields sourrounding my home. Touched by the first sun strokes, they shine so brightly and create a magical atmosphere.

Korean Hanbok, the traditional Korean dress consisting of jeogori (top) and chima (skirt). Vibrant colors often characterize the dress, correspond with the five elements of the ying-and-yang theory, namely metal, fire, wood, water and earth.
