Unit price perI painted this artwork with natural pigments from Roussillon which have been used since prehistoric times for the walls of the caves. In 1780, Jean Etienne Astier from the village of Roussilion discovered after processing ochre became an inalterable and non-toxic dye. Walking the Ochre trail was a magical experience where I visited this small village and bought the paint. Back in my atelier I created this artwork.
