Let’s be like wildflowers. They are growing anywhere and everywhere. Blooming in all the places people thought they never would. Growing freely in the beauty and joy of each day, simply following the sun. Nature cherishes each brilliant, quirky bloom. A celebration of uniqueness and acceptance.
Let’s be like wildflowers. Not waiting for the storm to pass, but learning how to dance in the rain. Gently swaying to the sound of the wind. Let’s be brave and true. Embrace a slower pace of life. Making time to enjoy the sights, tastes, scents and sounds that you encounter. Eternally curious, authentic, open and playful and not afraid to step off the beaten path. Creating memories that you’ll treasure forever. Wandering barefoot, sharing, loving, gathering while enjoying the journey.
Let’s be like wildflowers.

I love to paint ‘en plein air’, outdoors in nature and when I’m traveling. The process of painting is very intuitive, and the colors, texture, the emotion, discovering & interpreting surrounding inspire me. Color is often one of the most exciting components in my paintings.
Walking in Marrakesh is eye time for me. Seeing a world full of colors. Food for my soul.

This painting is a memory.
of a feeling,
of Asia, of flowers,
of life itself.
Wild blossoms on cotton,
woven with time and color.
They bloom quietly,
as if they know
beauty is deepest
just before it fades.
There are loose threads,
like in people,
and that’s what makes it real.
Not perfect, but full
of everything that has lived.
I love flowers
when they’ve passed their peak,
when they gently bow their heads
and still leave something beautiful behind.
That moment moves me.
A soul, a story,
a soft echo of being.
This painting brings that presence,
a quiet reminder
that everything changes,
and in that change
there is grace,
and depth,
and life.

In Asia flowers have a deeper meaning, and the Frangipani flower is considered as an essence from nature that brings enlightenment and kindness. There are so many frangipani trees in our neighborhood here in Bandung.
Every morning, very early, when the air is still fresh, we make a walk, and I love to collect the fallen flowers.
There are some things, that just smell so good: coffee, jasmin, orange blossoms, and frangipani flowers.
This painting is a lovely memory of my love for Java and frangipani flowers.

She sits there, gazing into the distance,
her hair blowing softly in the wind.
Maybe she’s by the sea, maybe somewhere else in nature.
She doesn’t think from fear, she simply is.
Calm, still, breathing.
A moment in time where nothing needs
to be fixed, changed, or rushed.
Just the quiet truth of being alive,
held in that fragile space
between one breath and the next.
A soft pause in the noise of the world,
where the heart can rest.
A lovely reminder.

Live for the tiny little things in life. Life is a series of thousands of tiny little miracles. Live for sunrises and sunsets. The sound of the ocean, the smell of the rain and starry nights. Live for the small words of praise, a smile. The tiny things like a good cup of coffee or a fresh smelling flower, a handwritten love note or the smile of a stranger. Live for the tiny things in life, because they will make you realize that this is what life is about. Let’s dance in the sunlight, wearing wildflowers in our hair. Live for the tiny little things.

I love the shades of brown in my home. It’s a warm rich color and blends so good with other shades and accents in my home. I love to add a little coral or pink like some fabric or candles. It’s like instant brightness and it’s beautiful with the brown artwork. Brown is beautiful with complementary colors such as red or yellow-whites, dusky pink, lighter blue or sage green. The warmth of brown is associated with reliability, healing and strength. Brown associates with the earth, a calming and resilient element that keeps us quite grounded.

Looking at a picture, allowing yourself to be absorbed, is quite similar to reading. Immersing into a story, diving in.
I love to get lost in reading books and I painted this artwork to remind myself to read more.

In a field of flowers
In the morning light, flowers bloom,
The morning dew glimmers beneath the sunlight
Each petal greets the morning sun,
Soft whispers in the gentle breeze.
The meadow glows as day’s begun.
The beauty in each flower’s face.
A peaceful, colorful embrace.
Slowly opening, revealing to the world.
Dancing in the morning light.
A world of wonder.

Sunny style lunch with my daughter, beetroot, orange and caramelized fig salad. I love to paint on old and faded paper. What at first sight seems to be ‘trash’ is contradicted when you see the beauty of the painting on used paper.
I feel some art prints find perfectly their matching location. I love this painting in the kitchen.

The painting “Tendre” is inspired by the Japanese concept “wabi sabi” which is about the perception of beauty. Accepting the transient nature of life, authenticity serves as a focus point of wabi sabi cherishes the cracks and imperfections. They symbolize the passage of time and loving use. Love as the antidote to a throwaway society built on disposable goods and mass-produced homogenous items.

I have always been called a dreamer. My dreams and vulnerability have become my greatest assets. I followed my heart, created my own positive poetic dream world through my painting and collages. Being out of reality and sourcing energy helps me being in reality. Dream with me and discover your own flow, peaceful and calm.
