Trees are magical and autumn is the season to let go. “Our present situation is the result of all the things we have left behind” and the trees that release their leaves during fall are a wonderful reminder. They whisper “Next season, we all will get new leaves and you will too.”

Capturing the colors of the beaches of the West Frisian Islands. Looking at the coast, it’s the play of transparency for me. The mighty tides shape everything around them. This painting is inspired by a woman I met during my travels to the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. Her eyes and facial expression were so captivating, so strong, so full of love. I sketched her a lot and finished this painting after coming back home to my atelier.

A portrait painting of Tresor who reminds me of a picture in my grandmother’s old family photobook. When closing my eyes, I still remember all photos in there.
