A portrait painting of Tresor who reminds me of a picture in my grandmother’s old family photobook. When closing my eyes, I still remember all photos in there. I see the beautiful garden, the little village and those sweet memories feel like a warm hug from the past. Who does Tresor remind you of?

This woman’s portrait, painted in soft pink and tender brown, feels like a memory of warmth. I love how the flowing colors ground me, calming the mind like early morning light. It’s as if I can smell the fresh air, feel the earth beneath my feet, and sense the soft light brushing gently against my skin.

Love to paint on old bookpaper and old faded paper, painting with japanese brushes and twigs, using thin layers of ink & paint. Old paper sucks up the ink and paint quickly, giving the paintings an open and transparent look. After a few hours the ink and paint begins to spread a bit, blurring previously sharp lines, and figures become distorted, love this mysterious and dreamy feeling.

Female faces are always a big inspiration to me. I enjoy especially drawing the eyes and this is what I start with. It is the most difficult part of the painting but also the most exciting to find out her expression, her character while drawing.

To me, sunsets are painted by loved ones. I’m often thinking about my sister, because when you loose someone you love, it’s the sunsets  which makes you thinks about them. Sunsets too have met an end. The sun sets each day, a constant motion. Each day, the sunset portrays an ending and the chance to start new fills every following morning. I love sunsets, most of the time I just enjoy watching a variety of colors fill the sky. Sunsets allow me to stop and enjoy the little things in life. It sparks inspiration and mystery, creating innovative minds, noticing beautiful natural things.
