„Serein“, ein Gefühl der Gelassenheit…   ich malte SEREIN in Marokko während meines letzten künstlerischen Retreats. Es wurde mit einem weichen Bleistift auf antikes Papier gemalt.  Ich liebe es, Skizzen in meinem Skizzenbuch anzufertigen und auf meinen Reisen Porträts von Frauen aus aller Welt zu zeichnen. Jedes Porträt birgt eine besondere Erinnerung, aber irgendwie könnte es noch so viel mehr enthalten. Porträts können eine Million zeitloser Erinnerungen im Herzen eines Menschen verbergen. Die alten Straßen, die Souks, Geschäfte und Häuser der Medina von Marrakesch erzählen die Geschichte von tausend Jahren.  Ich liebe die wohlriechenden Düfte, den Rauch und Staub, die Geräusche und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Eselskarren, Fahrräder und winzige, handbemalte Lastwagen, das Nachmittagsgebet und marokkanische Instrumente. Wenn man in die Gassen eindringt, kann man hautnah miterleben, wie die Menschen in dieser Stadt wirklich leben.
